Harassment and Discrimination

The Appraisal Institute is committed to promoting diversity within the association as well as in the real estate profession as a whole. The Appraisal Institute strives to provide an environment for its members free from discrimination by working to eradicate discrimination and harassment wherever it may be found.

If a member believes in good faith that he or she was discriminated against or harassed by an Appraisal Institute employee or by any member executing official duties on behalf of the Appraisal Institute, the member should report the incident immediately to the Chief Executive Officer or General Counsel for a thorough investigation of the complaint. The Appraisal Institute will not retaliate against a member who files a good faith report of discrimination or harassment.
