Richard J. Roddewig, MAI, CRE, is president of Clarion Associates., Inc., an appraisal, real estate, and land-use consulting firm with offices in Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Denver. Mr. Roddewig began his career as a land use and zoning attorney but has been a real estate appraiser and counselor since 1978. He is the environmental columnist for The Appraisal Journal and has developed a number of Appraisal Institute seminars., including two on valuing contaminated properties
